معارضة وزارة الداخلية فى إقامة الكنيسة على المكان الذى أذن بتأجيره مجلس الوزراء إلى الجمعية الخيرية القبطية لإقامة كنيسة عليه و ذلك بالقرار الصادر فى 1954-4-21 إنما كان مردها – على حد قولها – إلى أمور تتعلق بالأمن و السكينة لقرب الكنيسة المراد إقامتها من المدارس و المساكن و الجوامع و المحلات العمومية مما قد يتسبب عنه إحتكاك بين الطوائف الدينية المختلفة و إقلاق راحة السكان و إزعاج المنشآت العامة و هى كلها أمور تخضع لتقديرها عند النظر فى الترخيص من عدمه و لا يحد من سلطتها هذه قرار مجلس الوزراء المشار إليه الذى هو بحسب طبيعته ينصب على تأجير الأرض بالإيجار الإسمى دون ما تعرض لوضع آخر بل أنه إشترط توافر الشروط اللازمة للتصريح فهو لا يعتبر تصريحاً بإقامة الكنيسة و ليس من شأنه أن يلزم الوزارة بإصدار ترخيص بإنشاء هذه الكنيسة .

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
